Privacy Policy — Claude Quota Monitor

Overview

Claude Quota Monitor is a browser extension that displays your Claude.ai usage quota directly in the browser toolbar.

        🔒 We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Everything stays on your device.
      

🔓 This extension is open source. You can inspect every line of code at github.com/claudequotamonitor/claude-quota-monitor and verify our privacy practices yourself.

What data is accessed

The extension reads the following data exclusively from Claude.ai's own API, using your existing browser session:

Your organization ID (used to query the usage API)
Session quota usage percentage and reset time (5-hour window)
Weekly quota usage percentage and reset time (7-day window)
Claude Design weekly quota usage and reset time
Your account plan type (e.g. Pro)

This data is stored locally on your device using the browser's built-in chrome.storage.local API and is never sent anywhere else.

What we do not do

We do not collect any personally identifiable information
We do not transmit any data to external servers
We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry
We do not share data with third parties
We do not read your conversations or any Claude.ai content
We do not store data beyond what is necessary to display your quota

Permissions explained

storage — saves quota data locally on your device
tabs — opens claude.ai when you click the "View quota" button
alarms — schedules background refresh every 10 minutes
host permission (claude.ai) — reads the usage API using your existing session cookies

Third-party services

The extension does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs other than Claude.ai's own usage endpoint, which you are already authenticated with.

The donation button links to Ko-fi. Visiting that page is subject to Ko-fi's own privacy policy.

Children's privacy

This extension is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
